Multiple Members with the same Email address
Wild Apricot requires every member to have their own email address. We strongly encourage users to go to gmail.com and set up a free email address to use, if you need.
For Gmail users: in the event you do not want to create an individual email address, please note that:
- Gmail supports the use of a period ( . ) to act like a new email address, where Wild Apricot will think it's a unique email address, but it will still go to the same email inbox.
EXAMPLE: cruiserssports@gmail.com would go to the same inbox as cruisers.sports@gmail.com or even c.r.u.i.s.e.r.s.s.p.o.r.t.s@gmail.com
- Gmail supports the use of a plus sign ( + ) after your email username, before additional text, to act like a new email address, where Wild Apricot will think it's a unique email address, but it will still go to the same email inbox.
EXAMPLE: cruiserssports@gmail.com would go to the same inbox as cruiserssports+dad@gmail.com or cruiserssports+mom@gmail.com
For Hotmail (including @hotmail.com, @live.com, @outlook.com, and @msn.com) users: in the event you do not want to create an individual email address, please note that:
- Hotmail supports the use of a plus sign ( + ) after your email username, before additional text, to act like a new email address, where Wild Apricot will think it's a unique email address, but it will still go to the same email inbox.
EXAMPLE: cruiserssports@hotmail.com would go to the same inbox as cruiserssports+dad@hotmail.com or cruiserssports+mom@hotmail.com
For Yahoo, Cogeco, Rogers, and most other users: neither of the period or plus sign methods are known to be compatible with your emails. If they are, please send Skotty an email, and he will be happy to include it here.
Please note: as Wild Apricot uses email addresses as user names, each email, or email-modification used this way, will be a unique member login. In the event you need assistance, please send Skotty an email, and he will be happy to try and assist you.
